Well done Charlie! Charlie in Year 10 recently took part in the Podium 5K festival which attracts the best runners in the country and beyond. Charlie took part in the open race against over 80 competitors of all ages. He led the race from pretty much start to finish but was being chased down by two seniors from the University of Birmingham but managed to hold them off and win the race by 5 seconds. He not only won the race but smashed his PB to finish in a time of 16.50 which has put him 9th on the UK Rankings for the distance in his age group. It was also the first time ever a Junior had beaten a Senior in this competition ever! Incredible work Charlie!
