DISTRICT CUP WINNERS - YEAR 7 BOYS FOOTBALL Congratulations to the Year 7 football squad and their coach Mr Douglass on winning the District Cup Final yesterday at the Bedworth Oval! Despite being 2-0 down at half time, and following a rousing speech from their coach, they showed amazing character and effort to pull it back to 2-2 before the opposition again took the lead. This did not deter them and cheered on by the near capacity crowd, Higham equalised to make it 3-3. In a nervy last 10 minutes Higham continued to press and created numerous scoring opportunities. With 1 minute left to play, Higham Lane scored with a penalty! Incredible work team!
