Congratulation to Jacson in Year 8! Jacson is excelling in his swimming! He swam for the English Schools Swimming Association recently and achieved some personal bests. At a recent county competition for Leicestershire he achieved many personal bests as well as medals. Jacson has also achieved all of his East Midlands regional times and wishes to hopefully swim at Nationals this year! Keep it up Jacson!
Congratulations to the winners of our #BritishScienceWeek Poster Competition! These 5 designs have now been entered in to the national competition!
Check out the @hlsixthform photos all the way from CERN in Switzerland! Amazing morning at the CERN Science Gateway exploring the exhibitions and enjoying lunch at the CERN restaurant. Also, what beautiful weather!! More to follow!
Congratulations to Charlie Y in Year 10! Charlie took part in the Podium 5K festival which is owned by Sportshoes and attracts the best runners in the country and beyond. He took part in the open race against over 80 competitors of all ages. He led the race from pretty much start to finish but was being chased down by two seniors from the University of Birmingham but managed to hold them off and win the race by 5 seconds!! He not only won the race but smashed his PB to finish in a time of 16.50 which has put him 9th on the UK Rankings for the distance in his age group. It was also the first time ever a Junior had beaten a Senior in this competition ever! Keep running Charlie!
