Staff Serve Up A Super Slice Of Cash!

Caring staff at Higham Lane joined thousands of fund-raisers nationwide to support this year's World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

The School's teachers and support staff put their weight behind Macmillan Cancer Support's flagship event, several of them baking a wide variety of mouth-watering cakes which were sold in the staff room to raise cash.

Staff also donated a variety of gifts for a raffle which also proved extremely popular and helped bring in extra cash.

Delighted organiser of the HLS event, Senior Leadership Team Secretary Lisa Luke, enthused: ``I'm over the moon with the response from everybody who supported the World's Biggest Coffee Morning. It is such a worthwhile charity and one which almost everyone is able to relate.

``We've had yet another fantastic response from staff this year, both in donations and the organisation of the event. We should all be very proud to have raised more than £300, which eclipses last year's total!'

``I'm already making plans for next year's Macmillan fund-raiser, which will be even bigger and better!''
