'What Does The Ocean Have To Do With Climate Change?' We were very excited to live link to COP30 last week! Thousands of students around the world took part in COP30's Virtual Ocean Pavilion, connecting directly to the UN climate talks in Brazil! The live lesson had an expert scientist presenter alongside a lecturer from University of Exeter, uncovering the hidden relationship between the ocean and climate change and why it's impossible to understand one without the other. The students were able to take part in polls on issues raised in the lecture. #COP30 #ClimateChange #TakeResponsibility
Yesterday morning, all Year 7 forms were visited by our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. Our Ambassadors led small presentations on what anti-bullying week is all about, how to be an upstander not a bystander and what makes a good friend. Our Ambassadors have said how impressed they were with the confidence of our Year 7 students to share their ideas and opinions. Students spoke about how being a good friend means being kind, both with their words and actions. Students spoke about how they know they can turn to their Form Tutor, Progress Leader and all staff if they need support regarding bullying. #PowerForGood #BeKind
