Financial support may be available to Sixth Form students through 2 different channels:

Free School Meals

Students must complete an application each year to receive Free School Meals (FSM) in Sixth Form. Eligibility generally falls under two categories:

•           ‘Targeted FSM’ - pupils who are in households in receipt of Universal Credit with annual household earnings of no more than £7,400.

•           ‘Expanded FSM’  - pupils who are in households receiving Universal Credit but with annual household earnings above £7400.

Eligibility for FSM entitles students to a meal each day from the school canteen up to the value of £2.66.

16 – 19 Bursary

The 16–19 Bursary Fund provides financial assistance where costs present a barrier to accessing or remaining in education (students must be in a household with an income of less that £27500 per year or be in receipt of state benefits). Please note that bursary awards must be used for specific education-related purposes (such as transport to and from school, required course textbooks/equipment or compulsory field trips) and evidence will be requested to verify this.
